A family that loves nature and preserved places
It all started in New Zealand!
Following health concerns related to stress and 20 years of too intense professional life, Magaly and I decided to leave with our two children to live a new adventure at the end of the world. We decided to put our suitcases in Auckland, New Zealand.
We were looking for a new rhythm of life, calm, serenity, a new family adventure. After 6 months of preparation for this somewhat crazy trip on paper, this family project was born. We took our children to the other side of the world!

We have found in New Zealand a simple, natural and respectful living environment, between ocean, lakes, mountains and lush vegetation. We also found the fundamentals that we had lost in our lives in France and it did our children a world of good. We spent a lot of time in a neighborhood north of Auckland: Takapuna.

Our return to France was rushed because of Covid-19 (parents sick in intensive care and closure of New Zealand airspace), we took an emergency transport airplane to get back to France while we still could.
Once back in France, this departure from New Zealand having left a bitter taste, we wanted to find this environment at the end of the world, but in France, close to our parents whom we had almost lost because of this pandemic.

We then decided with Magaly to recreate living spaces that look a lot like New Zealand, but in France. And yes, traveling allows you to see new things, but also to understand that we have real treasures in France.

We decided to launch two vacation rental programs in order to share what we had experienced in New Zealand with our guests: an oceanfront project (walking, biking, beaches, ocean, golf, surfing) in full Landes nature in Moliets-et-Mâa.

The other project had to be in the mountains, on the edge of a lake to find the landscapes that we had known in New Zealand. We found a nugget in Haute-Savoie, in Saint-Eustache, a few kilometers from Annecy with a magnificent view of the mountains and Lake Annecy. In the small village of Saint-Eustache, you will discover one of the most beautiful views of Lake Annecy.

These two environments, blessed by nature, were obvious to us.
Takapuna Homes was born! We were going to be able to share these places with our guests and offer them an experience like the one we had in New Zealand.

We wish you a great life experience with Takapuna Homes.
